Counselling, consultancy & corporate wellbeing.
Creating space away from all the noise, I bring together person-centred theory & creative thinking to help people slow down, reconnect with themselves and remember what really matters.
Creative thinking opens a door to a slower, more connected life.
We live in a time of endless possibilities. We’re more ‘connected’ than ever, with technology that tells us we can optimise everything, even how our mind works. Yet we feel increasingly overstimulated and underwhelmed. So perhaps we’re getting something wrong.
You might remember a time before all of this, when life felt less complicated, and you were able to be more present. That doesn’t mean you need to be an artist, or even think of yourself as creative. It’s about approaching our lives with more curiosity, imagination and freedom, whilst remember to slow down enough to notice. Exploring rather than immediately trying to fix. Remembering the importance of play, and even the luxury of feeling bored.
I bring this philosophy into my work as a counsellor, consultant & facilitator. If you have questions, or would like to book a free 15 minute call, reach out here →
What is Creative Counselling?
Sometimes talking about how you feel isn’t easy.
If counselling is new to you, the idea of sitting down with someone and immediately talking about your feelings can feel intimidating. And sometimes, even when you want to talk, it can be difficult to find the right words.
My approach combines person-centred counselling with creative thinking, bringing more curiosity and exploration into the process. Rather than feeling like you need to explain everything perfectly, we can find different ways to explore what’s going on and help you understand yourself more deeply.
Talking is still at the heart of our sessions, and you never have to do anything creative. It’s simply another way in, one that can help things feel less daunting, open up new perspectives and sometimes uncover things that words alone can’t quite reach.
Hi, I'm Amy, counsellor, creative thinker and founder of Find A Creative Mind.
I've spent years exploring psychology, creativity and wellbeing, in my previous life as a professional creative, but also personally through my own mental health journey. When I qualified as a counsellor, I knew creative thinking had to be a part of my work, because it’s a universal way to remember what we all knew as children.
Children instinctively know that being creative is a way to express themselves, it can help you feel more connected, it slows you down when you feel overwhelmed, and it opens up new possibilities when you feel stuck. That's why I created Find A Creative Mind.
You don’t need to be traditionally creative to experience how this feels, you never need to pick up a paintbrush. Instead, you find your own way through curiosity, exploration, and gentle shifts in perspective. Whether I'm working with an individual or a business, my hope is always the same: to create space to slow down and reconnect with what really matters.

A Creative Mind;
Testimonials from Find A Creative Mind Clients
“My (ADHD) mind is always active, and being hyper-vigilant, I tend to notice everything, which can be as overwhelming as it is inspiring. I’m quick to see and feel beauty in the complex connections in the world, and I feel driven to express those insights, but ideas are often fleeting, and getting started is the challenge…
Choosing this retreat was a conscious decision to be in a space without distractions, although I will admit the thought of slowing down makes me nervous, I know it’s needed. ”
Articles I’ve written on creative thinking.
as well as thinking creatively, I talk about our relationship with technology, menopause, neurodivergence & other things that come to mind when I walk in nature.
