creative thinking to help you live a more free life.
How creativity helps us remember whatβs really important.
We live in a time that provides endless possibilities and technology that can βoptimise everythingβ, weβre more βconnectedβ than ever, with so much more freedom to design the life we wantβ¦yet we seem to feel increasingly overstimulated and underwhelmed.
So perhaps weβre getting things wrong. In our connectedness to everything βout thereβ, have we lost a connection to ourselves? Is there a collective craving for simplicity, a return to a less stimulated state that could help us notice more joy in the day to day? Have we forgotten the importance of the mundane, and the luxury of feeling bored?
If we can remove the noise, and connect with creative thinking, we can remember who we are, whatβs important, and what we really need.
In this mindset, inspiration flows, life becomes interesting. External noise seems unimportant. Distractions become just that. And everything doesnβt have to be optimised. You can slow down & listen to yourself again.
A Creative Mind;
What We Believe
Pay attention β’ Less is usually more β’ You are the expert on you β’ Conflict can bring us closer together β’ Differences should be embraced β’ Silence is golden β’ Knowing yourself is the ultimate peace β’ The greatest discoveries happen in failures β’ Curiosity & presence solve most problems β’ Ideas bloom in boredom β’ There is a lot to see in the subtleties β’ An ordinary life is beautiful β’ Notice what isnβt said β’ Slow down and smell the roses
Our Founder
Amy is a psychotherapist in training, professional graphic designer, and amateur artist.
She was creative from a young age, and as a sensitive child found strength in her expression through art. But after losing her creative outlet in her 20s, she slowly began to lose herself too. So began a decade of self exploration through yoga, meditation, travel and many other healing modalities. Despite learning so much in this time, only when she decided to go to therapy did she realise how disconnected she was from herself. Getting to know herself meant that she finally rediscovered the joy of creating, and feeling inspired to express herself, she picked up a paintbrush again.

Creativity is not just painting or drawingβ¦ it doesnβt have to be an activity at all. Creativity could just be a state of mind that feels MORE FREE. Thatβs why our creative retreats + events are not just for creatives, they are for anyone that needs to rediscover more joy and ease in their lives.
Do you feel the need to disconnect from external expectations, and connect to something that feels more natural - more like you?
βMy (ADHD) mind is always active, and being hyper-vigilant, I tend to notice everything, which can be as overwhelming as it is inspiring. Iβm quick to see and feel beauty in the complex connections in the world, and I feel driven to express those insights, but ideas are often fleeting, and getting started is the challengeβ¦
Choosing this retreat was a conscious decision to be in a space without distractions, although I will admit the thought of slowing down makes me nervous, I know itβs needed. β
