design & strategy, for therapists and wellbeing businesses.
We spend time understanding your therapeutic approach, your values and the clients you hope to connect with.
HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE YOUR WORK AS A THERAPIST?
People don't choose a therapist because of a logo or colour palette alone. They're looking for someone they can connect with, someone whose approach, values and personality resonate with them. Your website and brand are often the first introduction to who you are and how you work. My role is to help you communicate that through thoughtful strategy, design and storytelling, creating something that feels authentic to you and welcoming to the people you want to reach.
WHAT MATTERS WHEN YOU’RE BUILDING A THERAPY BUSINESS?
01. Who you are
02. Your approach
03. Finding clients
04. Your voice
Sharing your story.
Your story is part of what makes your practice unique. The experiences you've had, the challenges you've navigated and the path that brought you to becoming a therapist all shape who you are. Sharing something of yourself can help potential clients feel a connection before you've even met.
Your approach.
You have to help people understand what it's actually like to work with you. What happens in a session? How do you create a supportive environment? Explaining your approach in everyday language makes counselling feel more accessible, particularly to someone considering therapy for the first time.
Connecting with clients.
There are so many creative ways to connect with people, aside from social media, from thoughtfully designed flyers and local collaborations to workshops, community events and meaningful conversations. Finding approaches that feel natural to you can make marketing more enjoyable, personal and sustainable.
Using your voice.
Your words matter just as much as your visual identity. While AI can generate endless polished paragraphs, it can't replace your lived experience, personality or perspective. Taking time to write in your own voice, even when it's imperfect, helps people get a genuine sense of who you are and how you work.
I’m a creative and a practising counsellor, so I understand both sides of building a therapy practice. I know the best work doesn't start with a logo. It starts with understanding who you are, what matters to you, and the clients you want to reach.
Throughout my career as a designer, I've worked with businesses to turn ideas into identities and find interesting ways to communicate what makes them different. For me, good design has always been about more than how something looks, and branding is about much more than a logo, fonts and colour palette.
In the age of ai, people are not connecting with perfect visuals in the way they used to, and logos can be created in minutes, so branding has become more about story-telling, craft and finding more original ways to engage your audience.
Today, I bring together over 15 years of experience in brand strategy and design, with what I learnt building my own therapy business, working with other therapists or wellbeing businesses to think differently about how they present themselves to the world.
Whether we're developing a brand from the beginning, rethinking an existing identity or exploring a new creative direction, my approach is always collaborative, curious and rooted in understanding what makes a business worth paying attention to.
Ways I work with therapists as a creative support
BRAND STRATEGY & IDENTITY DESIGN
Together, we'll define your strategy, positioning and messaging before translating it into a distinctive visual identity. I can then help you plan the roll out across social, print & web, and support you in the launch.
MARKETING & ONGOING SUPPORT
I can help you find creative ways to connect with potential clients. From flyers and marketing materials to workshops, collaborations and ongoing design support, we can develop ideas that feel authentic to you and your practice.
CREATIVE DIRECTION FOR YOUR BUSINESS
Whether you're launching a new business, developing a campaign or trying to bring your skills together, I can provide direction that ensures everything communicates the same story with clarity and consistency.

Absolutely. Not every project starts from scratch. Sometimes a business needs clearer messaging, a stronger website, updated photography or a more cohesive brand experience rather than a complete rebrand.
-
Not exclusively, but they are where much of my experience lies. I work primarily with purpose-led businesses, including therapists, coaches, wellbeing practitioners, creative founders, retreat businesses and organisations creating positive change. If your business is built around helping people, we'll probably be a good fit.

Yes. I design and build bespoke Squarespace websites that combine thoughtful design with a clear user experience. Whether you're launching a new business or refreshing an existing site, the aim is always to create something that's beautiful, intuitive and easy for you to manage.

Yes. Visual storytelling is a key part of how people experience your brand. I offer creative direction, photography and video production to ensure your imagery feels just as considered as your brand and website.

I see AI as a creative tool, not a replacement for creative thinking. It helps streamline parts of the process, generate ideas and improve efficiency, while the strategy, creative direction and decision-making remain deeply human. I believe the strongest work still comes from curiosity, collaboration and understanding people.
-
Absolutely. I'm based in Manchester, but work with clients across the UK and internationally. Most projects are delivered remotely through online workshops and regular check-ins, with in-person meetings and brand shoots arranged where appropriate.

I'm based in Manchester, so if you’re local I’d love to work together in real life!

Before becoming a designer, I spent years searching for work that genuinely suited the way my mind worked. More recently, training as a person-centred counsellor has transformed the way I approach creativity and strategy. I don't begin with logos or websites. I begin by understanding people, because I believe the strongest brands grow from clarity, not assumptions.
Articles I’ve written on creative thinking.
as well as thinking creatively, I talk about our relationship with technology, menopause, neurodivergence & other things that come to mind when I walk in nature.
